Design Vidal has proven time and again to be the ultimate “Green Team” in architectural design. They've saved and restored over 25 properties considered tear downs that would have cluttered our landfills instead of being recycled, transformed and respected.

Karen and Guy's love of character homes and passion for architectural restoration has enabled them to work in almost all local architectural styles, including Modern, Craftsman/Bungalow, Victorian, Spanish and Mediterranean .

Their accomplishments have been recognized by their local community as well as national and international acclaim. The Vidal Residence was included in the 2006 Silver Lake Modernism Tour, which featured 10 architecturally significant homes, including works by Neutra and Schindler. More than 600 people toured the residence.

Design Vidal has been featured on 3 different HGTV shows. Karen will be appearing on the HGTV show ‘GOOD BUY' as an expert who consults buyers BEFORE they make their purchase. This summer Karen will be also be discussing architectural trends in Los Angeles , on the British series METROPOLIS.

Elevado de Castillo, the restoration which world renowned architectural photographer Julius Shulman called “a stroke of genius”, was featured on the cover of the Los Angeles Times Home Section.
